Schooner Landing restaurant in Damariscotta was destroyed in an overnight fire.
The restaurant sat on a pier overlooking the Damariscotta River. A wharf was built at the site in the 1700s and was later used to transfer cargo to seagoing ships, according to the Schooner Landing website.
