Rockland police charged four people after an early morning incident Wednesday that allegedly involved a drug deal, a robbery and at least one knife.
Police responded at about 2 a.m. to a downtown parking lot for a report that a woman had been robbed at knifepoint. There they met the complainants, a man and a woman, Rockland police said in a Facebook post.
Officers tracked the reported suspects by following a trail of blood droplets to a nearby residence, where they detained two men, according to Rockland police.
Through their investigation, the officers learned that the reported assault and robbery came about as the result of a dispute between the four people during a drug deal involving fentanyl and cocaine, Rockland police said.
Police seized drugs and a vehicle. Three of the people involved were treated at a hospital for minor injuries. Police did not give any additional details about the injuries.
William Yung, 44, of Rockland, was charged with felony drug trafficking, aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon and violating conditions of release; Hannah Leaman, 40, of St. George, was charged with felony drug trafficking, reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon; Michael Humiston, 36, of Rockland, was charged with violating conditions of release; and John Flower, 39, of Rockland, was charged with aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon, criminal mischief and violating conditions of release.
