One person is dead after explosions and a fire in a garage in Warren.
The fire broke out about 10:07 a.m. Monday at the home on Ridgewood Drive, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
When firefighters arrived, they found a three-bay garage fully engulfed in flames but managed to keep them from spreading to an adjacent home, the Midcoast Villager reported.
Moss said one person was found dead at the scene. The body was taken to the Maine medical examiner’s office to identify the person and determine their cause of death.
The fire remains under investigation.
